Granby Report

Granby Most Recent Report 02/08/25

The lake has 10-12 inches of ice and slush pockets throughout the lake.  The warm weather melted a lot of snow, but ice is still building.

People are catching fish in 40-50 feet of water.  Small tube jigs with Elevation tinsel jigs are working well with strips of sucker meat.  Also, some anglers are having success with finicky fish by jigging small tungsten jig heads and wax worms.

Bite is hot early morning and fluctuates throughout the day.  Try aggressive techniques lifting your tube jig up high and letting it drop, or slow movements thumping it off the bottom till they come in.  Don't be afraid to change from larger baits to small baits throughout the day as the bite changes.  Use bright colored, glow, or white color plastics tipped with sucker meat, and or salmon egg.

The key is to move often, go where there is less pressure, and find the path the fish feed on along ridges.  Visit the dynamic maps section to locate boat ramps and access points to get to the lake safely.  Some of the more productive areas can also be found on the map.

Please contact the shop for more information as conditions are always changing.

No ice is safe ice please use caution and check changing ice conditions before going out.  Be prepared bring spikes, spud bars, ropes, or use striker floating ice gear.

Grand Lake Report

Grand Lake Most Recent Report 01/18/25

Grand Lake is frozen and fishing is good.  Fisherman can find success using treble hooks tipped with sucker meat or salmon roe with a half once slip weight and dead sticking or using a jaw jacker.  All color tubes work well for lake trout on the bottom with slow movements.   You can also find some rainbow and brown trout activity using grubs or spoons jigging in the middle to top areas of the water column.  Lake trout tend to like ridges and deeper water while rainbows and browns can be found shallower.

Please contact the shop for more information as conditions are always changing.

Williams Fork Report

Williams Fork Most Recent Report 01/01/25

Fish are being discovered in the 65 feet range with sucker colored tube jigs.  Specifically brown and tan tubes.

Williams Fork just grew ice in the back southern bay.  There is 6-8 inches and fisherman are jigging 4 inch and 6-inch tube jigs tipped with sucker meat in 15-20 feet and seeing some good results.  The remaining 90% of the lake is still open water but for early season anglers you can come up and still scratch the itch.

Please Contact the shop for more detailed information on ice conditions as they are changing daily.
